Vedic Vidya comes from a time when knowledge was not written down in notebooks. Instead, it was
transmitted through sound. Teachers used to share this knowledge with the students verbally for
generations.
And because of it, the term "Vedangas" exists (limbs of the Veda). As the Vedic knowledge was
passed down only by speaking, people needed a way to keep it correct, something similar to a guide
for grammar, pronunciation and rhythm. This made sure that everyone gets this learning the exact
same way.
With time, students moved from repeating this term aloud to applied study, and it was used in
different areas of life, like:
Jyotisha is used to track time and planetary movement. Before, it was used for rituals, and now,
we use it for giving predictions.
Ayurveda grew out of the Rigveda's hymns on healing
Numerology and palmistry developed as reading systems to understand a person's life, alongside
them.
This is why we cannot say that Vedic Vidya is just one subject; it is a group of related sciences
that share the same history.
And as the study has developed, the way of learning has also updated. Before, it was taught in the
